Mission Photographs 1923-1963; 1923-1959.

This series comprises approximately 580 black and white photographs of various aspects of the United Lutheran Church in America's (ULCA) mission field in Argentina from 1923-1963. The majority of photographs were taken between 1923-1959. Most photographs are identified, but the majority of them are undated. A variety of subject matter is represented by these photographs and includes church life, the Bible Training Institute for Women, missionaries and lay workers, the Lutheran Theological Seminary, various mission congregations, women's congresses, and Sunday schools. Also included is a photo album of the Argentina mission from 1942-1949. This album was likely created by mission the Rev. William Dudde, who served as a ULCA missionary in Argentina from 1942-1950. Files are arranged alphabetically by subject.
